Stock plugins are specialized integrations that connect your Axiom marketplace to external supplier inventory systems. These plugins automatically retrieve real-time stock information from supplier databases, ensuring that your marketplace always displays accurate product availability to your customers.

Stock plugins offer several key benefits:

1. Real-Time Inventory Updates: Get accurate, up-to-the-minute stock information directly from suppliers.
2. Automated Process: Once configured, stock information updates automatically without manual intervention.
3. Enhanced Customer Experience: Provide buyers with reliable availability information before they place orders.
4. Reduced Order Fulfillment Issues: Minimize the chances of accepting orders for out-of-stock items.
5. Country-Specific Availability: Configure different stock sources based on geographic regions.

When a customer views a product in your marketplace, the following happens behind the scenes:

1. The system checks if the product's supplier has an associated stock plugin configured.
2. If a plugin is available and enabled, the system sends a request to the supplier's API with the product's SKU.
3. The supplier's system responds with current stock information.
4. This information is stored in your marketplace database and displayed to the customer.
5. Stock information is refreshed automatically when customers view products.

Each stock plugin requires specific configuration details which can be found on the plugins configuration page.

If you experience issues with stock plugins:

1. No Stock Information Appears: Verify that the plugin is enabled and correctly configured with valid credentials.
2. Outdated Stock Information: Stock information is updated when products are viewed. Try refreshing the product page.
3. API Connection Errors: Check that your API endpoint URLs are correct and that your suppliers network allows connections to Axiom's systems.
4. Authentication Failures: Verify your API credentials with the supplier.

• Test your stock plugin configuration with a few users and products before rolling it out marketplace-wide.
• Periodically review and update your API credentials as required by suppliers.

Stock plugin configurations contain sensitive authentication credentials. The Axiom platform securely encrypts this information. Only authorized administrators should have access to plugin configuration settings.
